Please take a moment to review the Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Acceptable Use and Email Policy associated with your PartnerOn account.
Your ContentMX account includes the ability to send email campaigns to your customers and prospects. To comply with email laws and standards, you will need to maintain an opt-in list and strictly honor opt-out requests. You can manage up to 10,000 contacts in your account and arrange them into up to 100 separate mailing lists.
You can send up to 50,000 emails within a 30 day period from your ContentMX account, while taking advantage of our curated email templates, customization, and list management features.
What do I need to do before sending email campaigns?
There are a few measures you should take prior to planning and scheduling your email campaigns.
- Set up your domain for sending email
- Whitelist ContentMX’s IP Addresses
- Complete your profile with a banner, company information, About Us section, and default sender
- Import your contacts or create your email network connection(s)
When importing a list, it must be an opt-in mailing list that abides by our Acceptable Use and Email Policy.
Why 50,000?
When you’re sending emails to lists of leads, prospects, and clients, it’s important not to overwhelm your audience with too many emails. Responsible sending can greatly reduce spam complaints in addition to building trusting client relationships. The figure of 50,000 emails per 30 days fits within the best practice of sending one email per week to up to 10,000 contacts (the total number of contacts allowed per PartnerOn account).
What if I need more than 10,000 contacts?
If your marketing plan requires you to send to more than 10,000 contacts, we recommend making a network connection with an email marketing service like MailChimp or Constant Contact. You can view our available email integrations under Manage Networks in your account.
Your email benefits with our program are meant to supplement your larger marketing strategy, which might include the use of third-party CRMs or email systems (MailChimp, Constant Contact, etc.).
When sending emails to contacts through one of these email integrations, you are still required to comply with our Acceptable Use and Email Policy as a PartnerOn user.
Can I edit/personalize the email templates from my content channels?
Absolutely! We encourage you to make these email templates your own by adding your own messaging, additional calls to action, hyperlinks, and more. If you sell to diverse regions or verticals, you might want to create several versions of an email template catered to each of your audiences.
Our Spam Complaint Procedure
We are very serious about reducing the number of spam complaints received from the email campaigns that our partners send from ContentMX. If your total number of spam complaints exceeds the industry standard spam rate of 0.1% (.01) your account email sending limit will be temporarily reduced to 20,000 emails per 30 days. We will send a warning email to the primary user on your account to notify you of this change and remind you of our policies.
If you continue to receive a high number of spam complaints 60 days from the day we send you this warning email, your account is subject to further reduction of sending limits and/or cancellation.
Your full email sending permissions will be restored when your spam rate falls below 0.05% (.005).
How can I reduce spam complaints?
- Keep permission-based lists and do not buy or borrow purchased lists.
- Regularly update your lists and create a separate list of opt-outs.
- Provide quality, relevant content to your contacts (such as the email templates from your content channels).
- The email address you’re sending emails from should include your company name or domain.
